3 Lebanese Charged Over Hezbollah Armoury In Kano
The charges followed the discovery of a cache of armies allegedly belonging to the accused persons in Kano state.
The people charged are Mustapha Fawaz, Abdullahi Thahini and Talal Ahmad Roda.
The fourth person, Fauzi Fawaz, who is still at large, was charged in absentia.
According to the charge, the suspects professed to belong to Hezbollah military wing, an international organisation regarded as a terrorist group, which is contrary to section 16 of the terrorism prevention act.
The defendants pleaded not guilty and also filed a bail application through their counsel, Mr Ahmed Raji.
Meanwhile, a fifth accused person, Mr Kossay Nourdin, was set free as the federal government said it did not have sufficient evidence against him.
Presiding Judge, Justice Adeniyi Ademola however set the 8th of July to take the bail application.
Counsel to the accused persons refused to comment, however counsel to the federal government says he will appeal against the application for bail.
